2027 NASW Nebraska Social Work Day at the Capitol
Building the next generation of social work advocates through education,
collaboration, and civic engagement.
Program Update
NASW Nebraska is currently in a period of transition and does not have a
2027 Social Work Day at the Capitol scheduled at this time.
We remain committed to strengthening advocacy across Nebraska and look
forward to offering future opportunities for members and students to
engage directly in the legislative process.
Stay Engaged in Advocacy
While a statewide advocacy day is not currently scheduled, we encourage
social workers and social work students to stay involved by:
- Connecting with your university or field program.
- Participating in advocacy efforts through your employer or agency.
- Following legislation affecting social work and behavioral health.
- Responding to NASW Nebraska Action Alerts.
- Building relationships with your local state senators.
These experiences strengthen advocacy skills and prepare our profession
for future Social Work Day at the Capitol events.
