NASW NE Student Scholarships
NASW NE invites Nebraska social work students to apply for NASW NE Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded once per year in August.
Both BSW and MSW students
2025 NASW-NE Scholarship Guidelines
Morgan Hecht Memorial Scholarship ($3,800)
Dr. Kathy Russell Scholarship ($2,000)
Open to BSW or MSW students
Submit application by July 27, 2025.
Scholarship funds will be distributed by August 30, 2025
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an NASW-NE member in good standing
- Enrolled in a CSWE-accredited BSW or MSW program in Nebraska
- Must have at least one semester remaining before graduation
- Demonstrates commitment to social work values, equity, and leadership in the profession
Academic Performance:
While this scholarship emphasizes leadership, creativity, and commitment to social justice, applicants' academic performance will also be considered as part of the overall evaluation.
